Lobotomy Box Productions is an independent film production company created in 2009 based in Portugal. It has been an ongoing collaboration ever since.

The concept development went through a quite comprehensive progression, exploring different ways in which to capture the logo attributes, how to reference the influence of the television and media on people's lives, how to suggest communication, the potential with using a retro/nostalgic/organic touch. Along the way, I played with various typographic features such as stroke weight, contrast, letter shapes, capitalisation and inclination to capture what would be most suited.

For the website layout, the focus was on bringing out a strong, simple feel. The texture and colour scheme serve to create a contrast with the curves of the logo as well as reinforce an intense atmosphere. Subtle rough textures maintain the voluptuous aspect without being intrusive. Rather than photographs, we were interested in typography based graphics in a strong and simple style, so I designed different type hierarchies, maintaining a grid-based website.
